The Barn
A converted barn situated in remote, rural scenic setting. The area is renowned for otters, sea eagles, deer and wildlife. We have two double bedrooms on the ground floor, one en-suite (with dressing room) and other with private bathroom.

Both rooms have satellite TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Guests have exclusive use of the large beamed sitting room with TV (with log fire) and mahogany panelled breakfast/dining rooms are on the first floor.

A full Breakfast menu (including kippers and smoked haddock) is available from 7am to 11am. There is a large garden for guests' use and parking is on site.

Situated in the secluded South- East of the Isle of Mull at the end of the Allt a Chonnaidh (the sheltered burn) wooded valley, the houses are 200 yards away from the West end of sea Loch Spelve. Ben Craig faces the front with the Croggan hills behind, Loch Spelve to the right and freshwater Loch Uisg to the left.

Barrachandroman is ideal for active family holidays or to escape to peace and quiet.

The houses are in two acres of fenced garden (safe for children and dogs) with a pond, the burn running through, and many mature trees and shrubs. There are numerous tables and chairs throughout the garden for eating or just to admire the view with a quite drink. Access from the public road is excellent with plenty of on-site parking. The main island ferry terminal at Craignure is eleven miles and the Iona ferry and the town of Tobermory are both thirty miles (approx 50 minutes) away.

The local area is renowned for its wildlife - sea (white tailed) and golden eagles, otters, wild goats and deer (red and fallow). Laggan beach at Loch Buie (3 miles away) is a safe, large and sandy beach and there are smaller beaches on the South side of Loch Buie towards Glenbyre farmhouse.

The shore of Loch Spelve is shingle and pebble with cockles, mussels and winkles. We have a boat available on Loch Spelve for sea fishing and can arrange boat hire or bank fishing on Loch Uisg. The hills are excellent for walking and the hill lochs have brown trout for the more energetic. Also available are four mountain bikes, a windsurfer and two person Canadian canoe.
