We first brewed in June 2009 after acquiring the 5 barrel plant from the Isle of Mull Brewery in Tobermory, Mull. The brewing equipment was designed and built for the Isle of Mull Brewing Company in 2005 by George Thompson of Brewing Solutions. George was the production manager for the Belhaven Brewery and continues to be involved with the Oban Bay Brewery as our Consultant Brewer. Managing the production of our cask ales is Harry Forbes, who took up this post in July 2010 after previously working for Caledonian MacBrayne.
