Barr na Criche House is set a short distance away but out of sight from Barr na Criche Self-catering Cottage, and sits within its own woodland with a panoramic view out across the West Loch to Kintyre. The good sized bedroom sleeps two, (with extra space for one child/small adult) and has glass doors that open out onto a large balcony, from where you can stand and watch the world go by. The room can be either double or twin and is en-suite with a spacious bathroom. There is an electric shower over the bath. You have your own tea/coffee making facilities, satellite TV and radio and arm chairs in which to relax. A full cooked breakfast is served in an adjacent picture window across the balcony. Price £30 per person for double/twin ensuite. £40 single. Come and stay for a while; there is plenty to see and do in the area, or you could just sit and relax on the balcony with a book. The excellent Kilberry Inn is five miles away and the pretty fishing village of Tarbert, where the nearest shops and other restaurants are located, is nine miles away. The ferry to the Island of Islay sails past Barr na Criche, or take a day trip to the Island of Gigha and visit the beautiful gardens. The Isle of Arran is known as Scotland in miniature and is well worth a visit. Historical or archaeological sites, beachcombing, shops, castles, distilleries, woodland walks and wildlife - there is something for everyone. A warm welcome awaits from Amanda, Peter and family, please telephone or e-mail with your enquiries.
