Welcoming and relaxed, Heatherfield House is a large distinctive Victorian property, full of character with its 9 large chimneys and sandstone construction. Originally built as a Manse we are situated on the hillside above the town with lovely views over to the islands of Kerrera and Mull. The beautiful garden offers the opportunity to sit in the tranquil surrounds and relax, however the town is only minutes away by foot making it an ideal destination, with ample private parking in the grounds. Internet access is available for our guests. Heatherfield House offers 6 spacious individually designed bedrooms, one single, one twin, two double and two king size. Our single bedroom has its own wonderful, large private bathroom with all amenities and all other rooms offer excellent en suite facilities. A hospitality tray is provided with a variety of teas, coffees, hot chocolate, biscuits and mineral water, fresh milk is available on request. Each room is furnished with a flat screen television, radio alarm clock and hair dryer. Ironing facilities are also available on request. A computer with internet access is available to guests in the dining/lounge area and WiFi is also available in the rooms. Breakfast is served in our bright and spacious dining room offering you an opportunity to take in the beauty of the garden and the views over to Kerrera and Mull. We have a wide variety of birds that come to feed and entertain. We endeavor to serve local seasonal produce including fruits, cheeses and the renowned Stornoway black pudding, homemade produce including sausages, potato scones and preserves. Fresh locally caught and smoked kippers and haddock are a tasty breakfast alternative and Scottish smoked salmon and scrambled eggs are included on our extensive menu. Our beautiful garden is available to guests and you are welcome to say hello to the girls (our chickens) who live in a contained part of the garden and provide eggs for breakfast. The house has a wonderful selection of stunning original paintings by artist Glynnis Searle that capture the beauty of Scotland. Heatherfield House provides excellent accommodation and personal service with the benefit of being only 2-3 minutes walking distance from the town centre with its varied choice of restaurants bars and shops. The ferry terminal and train station are also located in the town making Heatherfield House an ideal base to stay and perhaps explore the isles including Mull, Iona and Staffa or visit one of the many nearby places of interest. Please note that check in time is between 15:00 and 19:00 unless an alternative time is arranged in advance.
