The Oyster Inn is a very comfortable relaxing informal hotel at Connel, 5 miles from Oban in an area of outstanding natural beauty with breathtaking scenery. The hotel offers a very high level of accommodation at affordable rates.

The Ferryman's Bar is perfect for that well earned drink before going through to the Oyster Inn Restaurant which has impressive views over Loch Etive, to Mull, Lismore and Morven. A great escape to get away from the hustle and bustle of life in a friendly warm comfortable setting. If the landscape does not take your breath away, the hospitality will!

The Oyster Inn overlooks the falls of Lora where whirlpools and spectacular white water flows at the ebb and flood tides. The hotel also enjoys magnificent views to the mountains of Movern and Mull and is strategically placed for visiting Argyll's main attractions. It was built originally in the 18th century to serve ferry passengers but the ferry has since been made redundant by the modern road bridge alongside the cantilever railway bridge of 1903.

Our Bedrooms are comfortable and have wonderful pictures of the locale. There are power showers to die for, ensuring that guests enjoy the ultimate in relaxation! Each Room is named after one of the islands, lochs and rare malt whiskies or bays adjacent.

The rooms are furnished in classic creams with DVD and CD players, TV's and radios.

A friendly welcome in the 18th Century pub next door to the Oyster Inn with mouth-watering food served all day using only the finest local ingredients to accompany the range of ales and malts at one of the most atmospheric pubs on the west coast. Offering a choice of imaginative and exciting dishes prepared fresh to order.
