Loch-side inn and restaurant at the head of beautiful Loch Goil. The Shore House offers comfortable en-suite rooms, a lovely restaurant and cosy wee bar. The situation is outstanding with possibly one of the best views in Scotland. The Shore House Inn was built in 1850 as the parish manse and sits in a prime location at the head of beautiful Loch Goil with uniterrupted views down the loch to the mountains beyond. Bed and breakfast accommodation is available in comfortable en-suite rooms (non-smoking only), some with loch view. Discounts are available for stays of 3 nights or more and in winter special '3 for 2' deals are available (please telephone for details). The restaurant has an authentic wood fired oven, 'open kitchen' and superb view of the loch. Evening meals are available by arrangement for B&B guests on days when the restaurant is closed or there is another pub/restaurant a few minutes walk away. Our 'wee bar' offers a cosy retreat and the occassional impromptu music session and is well stocked with a good range of malt whiskies and our local real ale from Fyne Ales. Lochgoilhead is situated within Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and the Argyll Forest Park. It is an ideal base for exploring the Cowal Peninsula and is a haven for nature lovers and outdoor pursuit enthusiasts.
